I hope you don;t mean you are leaving posting on the boards here because of the post that was pulled on creel and length limits. The shots taken at you were probably inappropriate for the discussin and I have been guilty of that in the past. you shouldn't quit posting because of that, I know I wouldn't. I would like to have added on that post that there was a underlying reason for the petition that I signed off on for you at the time. I think with the passing of time the younger guys and even some of the older guys do not remember or did not know that the driving force for a lot of us was the fact that with no limits of any kind in place thousands and thousands of crappie were being taken out of Perry for resale to commercial establishments and while there were even a few here in Kansas Most were to out of state resturants, it was a huge enterprise and at the time a lot of us felt the only way to stop it was by being more restrictive, there were no bad intentions on anyones part especially yours. With modern science being where it is at and mother nature being ever evolving sometimes adjustment need to be made. While I don't always agree with you I don't think you were the villian in this case so hopefully you will keep posting. Remember if you were a villian on that subject there were 4 thousand villians right there with you.

The worst post are always " I'm leaving" post. I like Chatt but why the drama? Just leave quietly.
No good for CDC....don't know what's going on and can only speak for myself, but I will miss the great reports and fishing insight from a knowledgeable fisherman.
I only joined this board today, but I have to say that most of the very helpful posts I have read going back a few years have come from you. Do what you got to do, but I hope you stick around!

I simply believe post like that are designed to stir the pot, stroke the op, and ralley the troops. Its not a goodybye at all. Theres actually alot of good people on the Ks board even if they read more than they post.
While you may think he's stirring the pot, you kinda did the same with your post, just sayin'. I've seen many a rage quit on various forums over the years, and a simple "goodby" is pretty tame and not very drama-inducing, in my opinion.Quote:

I do not know what as was involved to make Chatt leave but I myself have personally learned tons from his post. I will never forget the day Chatt posted he was going to dragoon creek at Pomona and offerd a empty seat to anyone that wanted to go. I jumped all over it and he tought me tons that day. Chatt took me out and tought me a lot that day. I used his equiptment and minnows, when I asked him what I needed to bring he said just yourself. At the end of the day Chatt cleaned the fish we caught, bagged them up and gave them to me. He pretty much guided for me that day and didnt know me from Adam. That was the first day I had ever met the man. I have nothing but the up most respect for that man. Thiers not many people left in this world that would to that for any stranger. It was a great day I will never forget. Thanks again Chatt sorry it came to this.
I would like to know why the "Crappie limit" thread started by Chatt has been deleted. I want it brought back so we can all review the comments. This IMHO is the thread that made Chatt mad and I think it should be available to all of us for comment. It should not been deleted by some silly standard. I hope a lot of folks agree so we can get more info and see who pissed Chatt off and pile on them.
