Fresh field corn is what I was raised on. On the cob or cream style fried.
I'll eat it, but don't care for the fresh sweat corn. Try my best not to eat any canned corn.
As a kid, we would shell the field corn. Take it to the mill to be ground for fed. Shift it, and use the finer ground as corn meal.
