A Pearl police officer was killed in the line of duty today attempting to serve a warrant on a sex offender suspect. Officer's name is Michael Walter. Two other officers were wounded before return fire killed the suspect. I worked for this department for 8 years and it is a great bunch of guys who love serving. Pray for all the officers, their families, and the police department as they grieve their loss.

That's a tough deal. My SIL was with the Pearl PD a few years ago, with Ridgeland now. Prayers for all.

Prayers sent for all involved and also the members of the department. No one understands the life of someone in law enforcement or their families unless you have someone in your family that is in law enforcement. Thank God my stepson has decided to change jobs after being in law enforcement for over 10 years. His last day on the force was last week. Every night and every day you pray that when the phone rings it isn't bad news.
