What kind of hair is normally used to make jigs like the flu-flu jig. I recently lost my last whit head with red hair and a little flash to a big bass last night.
flu-flu jigs are not hair, but feathers.
Ok then what kinda feathers are they
They use hackle feathers on them
Just looking at their site some look like maybe marabou and some are hackle. It depends on which ones you had.

Some of their kinds show one or more of each hackle and marabou, but seems their Walleye jigs look like marabou??
Not totally sure, but just going by their pictures. Agree most look like hackle except for a couple pictures that look like marabou.
Also it looks like they don't care what position their feathers are in and just have them positioned how ever. I usually position mine, but their way is easier so I don't see anything special there.

ive seen the new ones i like them they look very cool, but as we know it doesnt matter how flashey they are. you just have to find the one color
The Flu Flu ice jig isn't very different from a Popeye jig.
You can tie thread necks (flu style) with duck feathers as well.
