Guys been pre fishing Lake Dardanelle, fish are bitting for me and catching a limit everytime. I was catching seven money fish a trip but the last few trips I have seen just 2-4 four money fish with 3-4 one pound fish. It has become hard for me to catch 7 good fish. Hope that changes soon or I will be in trouble come tournament time. A few pics of my limit from yesterday.

Things are changing fast, fish that have not spawned are fixin to this week. Fish just may throw a curve in the fishing.
The big ones have become few and far between for me. Couple weeks ago that's all I was catching.

Those look good to me! I went back through the past tournament results for Dardanelle, 12# a day looks like to will get you there. So with that, you should be fine…

First of all nice fish!! Second I have a question. I'm a dumb dumb when it comes to crappie tournaments. I fished many a bass tournament over the years but never a crappie tournament. My question is this: if you are prefishing for a tournament why did you keep those big ones? Seems like to me you would want to put them back. I know nothing says you will catch them again but on the flip side nothing says you won't either. Not trying to beat you up or anything, you legally caught them and by that, they are your fish to do with however you please. I'm just curious.

The fish in the Picture were caught a week away from the competition days, I dont get too worked up over fish caught a week away from the tournament. Just wanted to let the folks who are interested know what kind of catches I was making leading up to the Tourney. I also wanted to show a couple of the fish to let people know there is a good bite going and maybe someone on the fence would decide to come fish with us. Did you ever think the two fish I kept may have been caught by one of my competitors and could be the ones to beat me as they come from a well known location and a spot I have decided I probly wont be fishing during the Tourney.. Just saying there are two ways to look at it. Hope this helps and you can bet Im letting the big ones go now and marking thier location.Quote:

The weigh-in times can be verified on the crappiemasters page, look under tournament bar. I believe it is 4 pm Friday and 3pm Saturday!
