Xring and I plan to try it out in the am. That Minn Kota 70 Maxxum 24 volt with maximizer/ variable speed control should pull my 16' x 48'' AlumaWeld with ease. Maybe be more power than I need but should save time moving between Crappie condos.

Those crappie can run...but not fast enough. Don't give xring a whiplash on takeoff.
your gonna like that new troller for sure. I got a 80 fortrex on a 17 foot express and it'll pull a wake behind it.
I found it interfers with my humminbird 570di. Guess it will take a little fix.

I've got a Maxxum 70 on my Wareagle 542. Moves between the spots fast, and works great in the current!

One thing I've discovered bout these big trolling motors.......be sure u know which direction it is pointed when u first take off on high speed, or u could get wet!! I've come close several times..lol
