Looks like 32G. I can't remember for sure, but i thought I read somewhere that maximum of 16G worked better for some reason. ?

Whatever the size, don't get a cheap one. Makes a huge difference in how fast it will write and read.
Wannabe...
I got a 4 in mine
I must be confused again... What does a person have on a 2 gig card that takes up the entire card, much less a 4 gig? I use humminbird pc and upload all my stuff and clean off the card. The FF still has what I want and if I need to, I can always download back to the card..
Probably a bunch of screen shots
Screen shots and waypoints don't hold hardly any memory. I have over 1200 points and pictures and have probably 3.8gb left of my 4 gb card. The only way to fill one up is by recording all data for playback.
Thanks DG, learn sumtin everyday
All I have is bout 3000 waypoints.. Kinda figured 2GB card was plenty for that and I've never taken a pic or recorded anything far as I know.. All I know is when you turn unit on it takes a while to load and I can't save any more waypoints figured simplest solution was a larger GB card
Bigger is better sometimes BB
Ahhh... I know what the problem is... The waypoints are written to the internal memory of your 998. The internal memory only holds a maximum of 3000 waypoints. To get the waypoints to the SD card you have to export them. When exported to the SD card they are small in size (my 1200 points are only 40kb file size). Looks like a bigger card will not help you. Might have to delete some or use Humminbird PC to select the ones you want loaded or not loaded to your unit.
