Dentists always say keep your natural teeth as long as you can..(even if you have a lot of dental problems)...
I finally figured out why they say this....
Their money flow "from your pocket to theirs" stops the day dentures are put in...:)
If I'd have known this... I would have gotten dentures 35 years ago and saved all those 1000's of $$ I spent on teeth that were eventually gonna come out anyway...

I pull mine out all the time to make adjustments = EZPZ.........
No more dentists, no more toothaches........

I hear ya - I have 4 broken teeth right now but it's not into the nerve part of the tooth so I told them to leave em alone!!!! Can't afford to get em out anyway!!!!! If I'd gotten my head out of it, I'd have told the Doc to yank them when I had my hernia surgery.
Must be something in the air. I had one pulled yesterday too.
I've had dentures since I was 28. I found an "old school" dentist a few years ago to make me a new set when I had him pull my remaining bottom teeth. He said to let the gums heal and shrink up for a few months before taking impressions. That way they provide the best and most comfortable fit. Mine are so thin I can hold them up and see light thru them and I don't have to use anything to hold either the top or bottom in. I can eat an ear of corn but I have to hold it with the top teeth and bite the corn off with the bottoms. He also showed me where he had a few small ridges put right behind the upper front teeth. He said this was for your tongue to touch to help pronounce certain sounds.
After it was all said and done I'm very happy with mine. I had an awful fear of going to the dentist!
Dayum Mr. Tom, sorry you had a bad fall. I hope you get to feeling better..rather looking better... how in the hail and I'm supposed to sleep after seeing that picture? Did billbob push you down?

You might want to consider a bridge. They are not cheap either, but I lost my 4 front teeth and fought and cussed dentures for years. I finally got off the dough and had a bridge put in. It is anchored on each side by 3 teeth so it is a 10 tooth bridge. I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I got it in.
Had it over 25 years and never ever second guessed putting it in.

Hope that you are getting along ok Tom. It is Miss Brenda's turn to take care of you now. Take care my friend. EB
I prefer the govt dole. You just keep paying your fair share.....
Only thing EB can hack is Republicans......
Hahah sorry to hear about that man, i bet it did hurt. Them dentist will tell you to do the most expensive stuff. Might as well give you some gold teeth by how much money they get from all of us!
