It's hard to believe, but buddy of mine & I went & tried the bream out yesterday. We fished in 7-8 ft water at about 3-4 ft deep with crickets. We caught over 100 bluegill & shellcrackers in about 3 hours. Had 2 shellys over 12inches. Bream were big & wide bodies. They were not on bed yet but were staged off the bank about 100 feet. I was going to go down to the trace tommorrow. Were yall on the lower end or upper end near the damn? I Bass fish down there but have never fished for shellcracker. Guess I will give them both a try. I cant wait, and hope i find some beginner's luck.
