Horseshoe 4/9/12
Got to fish about 4 hours this morning. Man i didnt want to leave but i have to work tnite... They was bustn that slab slayer/ electric chicken. 10 of the 24 was over 2 lbs. Not able to fillet them til tomorrow, but my guess is all of these have spawned out. Caught in 7-10 fow. These fish dont look like they have any eggs in them.. Will update tmrw after I clean em... The wife finally caught her first keeper!!

Very nice!! I started to go there Friday....or Saturday, but didn't go either day. Wish I lived closer. I went last weekend and the ones that I caught were still full of eggs.

That pic on the table doesnt do them justice... Most of them look like the one my wife is holding... I believe they are spawned out females... They werent that dark as they would appear on the table

Mr bill, i was shootn docks.. Bout 7-10 fow... What a blast feeln that thump. They was hammering it.. Used the summer approach when shootn.. Let jig fall to bottom , then slow retrieve

Thanks for the info HD!!! Glad ya had a great day. Very nice haul from the Shoe!!! I've never learned how to shoot docks, I'd stick that jig hook in my finger about half the time. Lol

Bill - Its not that hard. First you get a red boat. Get a BnM sharp shooter SS50 and spin cast. Remove all ticks and fleas off the lake. Be careful of the south wind. Find a dock. Now aint that easy.

Ive been unable to post pics. My camera is at the bottom of Horseshoe and my phone takes horrible pics. Ive been there hiding under the piers. Lol. Alot of big crappie are hiting now, too bad strong south winds are forecasted for the next five days.
