i was there on friday. if you saw someone fishing a 13' rod, it was me :D
Wwll it looks as though i will not be getting many fish this year, my motor is dead and by the time it gets fixed the spawn will be over. It just pisses me off that I have been waiting all year for this and will now miss it.
Is it 1 of those 3 piece telescopic poles with out a reel? I think you had your pole retracted in and you were fishing close to the bank and your friend was fishing a bobber/white jig. I was the guy that asked you if the crappies are biting good yet.Quote:

Didn't get any fishing in this past weekend:(. The spawn will be on for the next three weeks though. If you're gonna get them....now is the time. I think we'll be seeing some heavy stringers next weekend:D.
Went To Ohop I Was Stuck Like Barry Bonds. Water Was Nice Though, No Trout Were Caught From The Shore The Only Thing Caught Were 2 Decent Catfish. Peace Yall I'll Holla

No pics since I was alone but I'll have plenty to post up after my weekend trips this week. The spawn is here:D.Quote:

sounds like you had a great day out on the water slab, good job :D
Foster would be worth a shot for sure.....if those sticklebacks have finished spawning. I haven't had a chance to get over to see what the water temp is. If it's 60* or more there should be some crappie and sunfish in there.
That's what I like about Washington and Union. It takes a little while for the water to warm up so you can nail the spawn on other lakes then when those slow down the fish in Washington will be turning on. They'll spawn into late June in some parts of the lake.
SUP SLAB? BOY WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT RAPJOHN? MAN I'VE BEEN HERE SINCE 89 AND I HAVE FISHED THAT LAKE ONCE AND GOT SKUNKED, BUT I HAVE HEARD NICE STORIES OF BIG CRAPPIE BEING CAUGHT ON RAPALAS. WHAT'S THE 411?-BBQuote:

Kool Thx 4 The Info / I Think I'm Going To Try Ohop Again This Evening.
Man You guys need to hit up sammamish right now it is on FIRE!!! I have caught a lot of smallies in the pipe line are over the last two weeks and got ? over 4lbs with the biggest being 5.5lbs (This one was from up north though) on a dropshot with a bolt..I fished a slough in carnation yesterday and caught postspawn crappie too. Got some bluegill too.

Ck14 I know how you feel, my boat is out of order.... tear...
well i would stay away from foster island for awhile....lets just say the sticklebacks arn't done spawning yet :( .
i guess we will just have to suffer together koke....
I fished Fivemile last weekend and only caught 2 crappie. Caught a couple of decent LMB and a bunch of bluegill. There were a lot of fish holding around 24-27' in 30+ feet of water. Most of the trout were in the upper few feet of water so the fish I saw must have been crappie or perch??? It is worth a try when the water warms up a little bit.
Went To Ohop And Saw 1 Trout Caught After Gentleman Was There Previously For 3 Hours, The Fish Were Not Even Breaking The Surface. But I Did See Little Bluegills On Their Nests So Hopefully That Is A Good Sign. The Play Of The Day Was A Bald Eagle Hit A 2 Lbs. Bass About 15 Yards From Me And Damn If It Did Not Look Like A Boeing Jet.- Hey Slab ? I Got A Question For You About The Spawn And It Is After The Spawn Do You Think The Crappie Travel Far From Their Nests Post-spawn ?or Do Think You That They Spawn In The Same Spot Every Year? Holla At Your Boy
They tend to spawn in the same areas year after year. If you find a good hole they'll be there every year. After the spawn they'll hang around the spawning areas for a few weeks then head back toward deeper water. Not out into the middle of the lake but they'll get away from the shore. On Ohop you can still catch them on the outside edge of the pads and under the docks on the south side of the lake all summer. The around late Sept they'll school up right outside the creek in the evenings.Quote:

Also I See The Pads Are Starting To Form Slowly. - Thx 4 The Info
i only got one smallmouth yesterday, i got it at websters point. it was a fat 3.5 pounder tho, cant wait to get out there for longer this weekend
Man I must be the dumbest person in the world! I took my engine apart completly, cleaned, changed gasckets the works. Called the repair place they would not be able to fix it till next friday, si as i sat there i though of what could be the problem. Yes i know what you are thinking "You didn't have gas did you?" NO I had gas but I had some bad gas put in three new gallons and some oil and once the old gas got through the system it started right up!!!!!!!! Fish here I come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
went down to the dock at kenmore and it started out really slow only getting one 11" perch and some small 6" trout. then my dad started pitching a senko around and pulled up a nice bass. so after that i put a lizard on my ultra light with 6lb test line and within the first 5 minutes hooked into a nice largie but it got off at the surface. not 5 minutes later i hooked into an even better one and got her in (with a little help ;) ). she sure put up a fight on that ultra light tackle. i think the coolest part about it was that while i was fighting her there was another bass that came up next to it. i had never seen that before. the only bad thing is that i won't be able to fish for the next 4 or 5 days (painfull toe surgery :( ). the one plus is that i get to miss a day of school :D
Congrats on the fish fellas. It's prime time right now....finaly!
Koke: No biggie. All that cleaning and change parts was probably for the best anyway and may just prevent you from having problems later. At least you got it all worked before dropping $200 on the repair shop just to "inspect" it lol.
no kiddin drop a fat load of money to find out i had some bad gas!
6 smallies today one about 3.5 one 3, fished from 5 to 9 pm. caught fish at calkins point, under the east channel bridge, and two in the south end by coulon. goin out tomorrow also probably for some largies also.
how deep of water were you fishin, going to hit up union tomarrow, lookin for some tid bits.
it looks like the largies on washington(and union probably) are up real shallow. caught mine in less then 4' of water. they were very aggressive to. i missed the first one a couple of times but i would flip it back out to her and she would hit it as sone as it hit the water. all my hits came on the first drop, i haden't even twitched the lure yet.
I was out there to day(just dont ask about everything went wrong) I saw a couple real big largies hangin right under the suface under some hous boat one must have been about 4 pounds.
