Lowrance Rebate a Scam

I purchased a Structure Scan module and sent in for my 150.00 rebate. I called Lowrance and he told me to cut the large bar code off the box and send in with my receipt which I did.Now they tell me their not going to pay because I didn't send in the correct bar code from the box. I sent everything in according to what they told me at Lowrance and now they won't pay.I believe this is a total scam. They had no intention of paying.

I went through the same thing.

I bought an HDS 10 for Christmas, $200 rebate. Cut the barcode off box like they asked. Haven't heard squat for 10 weeks. Called Lowrance, they gave me another number. Called that number. Finally, they acknowledged they had recieved my rebate coupon and bar code-however do to high volume my rebate would take another couple weeks. OK-the checks in the mail-sure. Want my dammed money, not lame excuses. Never had a Hummingbird product before but this is an eye opener about Lowrance.

Well you know what I think someone should introduce a bill before congress to make the manufactuers give you the rebate when you purchase your item whatever it is. This would stop all this stalling and BS. I have been beat out of rebates before but couldn't get a hold of anyone to follow up.

I sent in the right things and got my rebate. It did take a long time tho.

same here, I sent in the info they requested, but it plainly states that it could take 4-8 weeks for processing. I got my rebate card in about 8 weeks, no problems, almost bought another Lowrance DF with it LOL. doubt if Lowrance would try and scam anyone. Just read and follow the directions. Keep of copy of everything as well for proof.

I think you should get the rebate at the time of purchase. With todays use of computers the larger dealers should be able to hook into the site and have it processed right then. Sure they could put a limit on how many you get per address. :twocents

I guess everyone would stop griping if they just DIDNT offer a rebate at all!!! :)

My customers and I have always got our rebates from Lowrance. I don't care how long it takes. I like getting CHRISTmas gifts in the mail. Unless you're hand to mouth, (in which case you shouldn't have spent your money on a fish finder or electronics anyway), just be patient. A late rebate is still better than No rebate!!!!

Reason you don't get it at check out is companies expect more often than not, most people won't go through the trouble of filling out the paperwork to get the refund. Gallon oil jugs are a good example. You see $5 rebate on oil often. They are betting most won't actually go through the trouble to get it.

All ya got to do is follow the instructions and you won't have any problems.

Seal the border. That oughta keep Lowrance out of Merica.
