BRM...I knew this one would get ya stirred up...LOL
OK, here's the scoop. Lori and I had reservations at the Lakeshore Motel. We were in charge of getting all the Steaks, and Trimmings for the AR. Spring Camp Friday Night Meet and Greet, so we packed it in 5 50 quart coolers, and headed to camp Thursday nite. Meatgetter had made arrangements to keep the food frozen, and refrigerated when we arrived in Greenville. Lori and I got there bout 7:30pm to eat at the Cow Pen, and meet Jerry. When we arrived at the Cow Pen, I asked the hostess if we could keep our food in their cooler, and she told me that the Lakeshore, which is owned by the same yuks had an old cafe next to it, and that she would call and see if we could keep the food there. She came back and told us that the manager of the Motel had called and the owner was bringing the key for the cooler, and that they would store the food for us in the cafe cooler. I called Meatgetter, and canceled our pryor arrangement because the Motel was much closer than Lake Washington, and it would be more convenient to get the food the the camp site down the road from the Motel. Lori and I ate a 100.00 meal at the Cow Pen, and went to check in at the Motel, and store the grub. When we arrived at the Motel, the manager bimbo told us she called the restaurant back and told the hostess ( i asked the hostess 3 times before we left if it was ready at the motel and she siad yes) that they WOULDNT let us keep the food there (I guess the owners changed their minds, or it wasn't convenient for them) It's now 9:00 in Lake Village, AR. What do we do now!!! I get mad, as I have canceled the other arrangements, and had been lied to by the Bimbo at the motel, AND the Bimbo at the restaurant. I said a few choice words as I was leaving the motel lobby, and told the bit-- to cancel my reservations. She told me to get out, or she would call the sheriff and make me leave, and that they didn't need my money anyway!!!! Lori and I went and iced down the food, and thank goodness it was ok, but it could have been a disaster.
It was inconsiderate for them to put our camp groceries (112 Ribeye Steaks, 2 cases of salad mix, and 30 pounds of French Frys, and a case of baked beans) in jeopardy, and I suggest that you NEVER spend I dime at either place!!! They don't need or appreciate yer business!!!!!

Bill, I ate at the over-priced Cow Pen once, not impressed and dang sho aint werth no 100 dollar bill for 2 folks to eat. Hate it turned out that way and am glad it werked out.
You know what they say "freak them and feed them fish heads!" I glad it all worked out and the rest of your weekend was good.
It was a blast. Caught lots of fish and met tons of GREAT people!!!

Bill, I know it was inconvenient.,but, the Cafe IS closed for the winter. That means that all systems are shut down, making it impossible for them to refrigerate that much food. Everything turned out fine. Chill out big guy, and take another blood pressure pill. Life is too short. You done good on the steaks. Thanks.
I KNEW steak fit into this picture some where!!! :) I'm sorry to hear about the issues, not a good way to start off camp. But glad everything worked out in the end, and that u n Lori had a great time.
Just think how bad this could have been if you had actually asked them to cook one of them steaks. They might have had to call in the SWAT team.
Heheheh. I couldn't resist. But honestly, I had Lunch with Billbob yesterday an he's a bad influence on me. You know I would nevah evah stir a cow pen pot like this on my own nor poke a refrigerated bear without him egging me on.
But..how was the steak?

BTW, WB I got you a fish counter ifn ya show up to Sardis. It actually has two beads on it. See, I do give ya credit!!! Bwahahahahaha.
