Fishing with My Father
The fishing was slow this weekend. The best thing is that my father was with me. Him living out of state we dont get to fish as much as we used to. It didnt matter that the fish were not biting it was just good to spend some time together on 2 of Ark prettiest lakes. Thanks for the weekend dad.Attachment 85457Attachment 85458

That's great Billy! My mom passed away late last year and my Dad had to spend the last few years taking care of her. My Dad and I have a lot of bad water under the bridge from my teen years but we try. I would like to do a lot of fishing with him from here on out.
-
My dad did not fish but I had an older friend that taught me a lot about crappie fishing. All we needed was a boat and paddle and we used Kodiak fly rods for jig poles. We could fill up the ice chest. He's been gone now for several years, but I still have the great memories.

That's great! Too bad the crappie didn't cooperate. You will have to do it again!

I had a great time with my Dad and Uncle last Friday on Dardanelle to. We had a triple limit together sure was fun. Alway's love to put Dad on fish when I can. If I cant I love to spend just the time with him fishing.

Memories with your Dad are much more important than fish. Sounds like you caught some quality memories!!!

My dad died when I was 16, and some of the very best memories I have was of hunts, frog gigging trips and fishing trips we made. Go with him every chance you can.

My dad is my fishing buddy too. I grew up fishing with my grandpa and some of my fondest memories of him
are from fishing trips we took together when I was a kid. He got me hooked at a young age and I miss him everyday. Me and my dad are now fishing together. We haven't always seen eye to eye growing up but were mending fences through our fishing trips.
