Good Day.
Came in 2nd in the CrappieUSA tournament today on Lake Wateree up in SC. Got a $300 check and qualified for the classic at Kentucky Lake. Won enough money to cover my gas atleast, lol. I dont have any pics to post other than the check, I didnt have a camera. Im coming back to Florida this weekend. I wanted to catch a few white crappie up here but got blanked on em, black crappie is ALL we caught.

Job well done again:cheers2, as for the white's, you'll catch plenty of 2lb+ crappie on lake kentucky as long as no fronts move in. Brother-in-law had a cousin lived on lake kentucky, they would spider rig the brush piles & the other technic was to, from your boat pitch road runners on the bank & slow roll into the water bumping the rocks as retrieving, needless to say he had a large assortment of road runners.

I caught em all trolling in 18-25 fow. They were deep so i had to use double 1/8th jigs heads to get em. Our weight was 10.36 for our 7 fish whith our big one weighing in at 2.09lbs. The best colors were AWD's blue sapphire and john deere.

Great finish Toby, what was 1st place weight, big fish, were many whites weighed in?

excellant update on equipment and depth..........jigs used.
thanks again TC

Thanks for all the compliments. We had a blast, regardless of our finish. Met some really good fisherman and learned a little during the process so it was well worth it. A new trick I learned when longlining in deep water is to stop the boat completely and let yout jigs fall all the way to the bottom, once they do cut the trollingmotor back on and as the jigs rise in the water they nail it, its like crack to em. You can only do this where there is a clean bottom though. Im fishing Santee Cooper Thursday morning before i head back to Florida and I will make sure to have the camera with me to get some good pictures.
