lake sugema

Any fish being caught with the nice weather? How are the lake levels. Will be there in about s month, any news welcome

Hey Jnebgud, I too will be at Sugema in about 5 weeks. I usually go with a group of guys from town. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see what things are doing there. Curious to read what the locals have to say.

Oh yes, we have broken 20... 19 Days to go, hold on the spawn Mrs. Crappie, we will be there soon enough!!!

Warm weather and rain predicted tt, hoping it begins mid next week, no sooner!! Warm rain +the 85 degrees scary with two weeks out!! Should have a feel with reports from home next few days. I know last week 60.5 many males no females. May just try ole kikapoo today, high winds predicted..

I hear there is a great watering hole in Mount Sterling. BJ's or something like that. His private stock comes well recommended.

Iowa DNR fishing report

Lake Sugema contains the invasive plant brittle naiad so make sure not to transport any plant fragments in your equipment. Anglers have started catching some crappies and bluegills in the shallows on small jigs. Largemouth bass are also being caught in the shallows using spinnerbaits or plastic lizards.
