Monroe Area Today

Started trolling the same areas I could not keep the fish off my lines yesterday and today nada one 5in fish. Did find a few in the trees first big fish shot up like a Bass and spit the jig never even set the hook on her.

Found the fish I was looking for yesterday.......1lb 12oz she looked like she was spawned out but was still in good shape.

One day 100 next day 20 that's why when they are biting good I hate to go home. fished 12 hours Saturday, launched @ 5:10am boat back on the trailer @ 5:20pm

Nice fish there Andy. I would of liked to stayed out there longer but the pleasure boaters and thier wakes were beating me up plus there were early plans made for me at home. Hope to see you at the next one. Now if we could get someone to come up with a place for a slabfest. ANYONE??

We were trying to find that secret spot on Saturday that you were telling us about. We saw the trees in the water and the owl you said would be sitting around. You gave us some real nice landmarks Andy. Thanks again.

That's George! He will land on your trolling motor if your catching fish. My wife has been real close to that owl a few times when landing fish. First time she bout had a heartattack.

That is pretty cool stuff Mike! That owl appeared to be very tame around us human folk. We were very, very close to it, and "George" didn't mind one bit. I love me some wildlife.

People have without a doubt fed him. Bad thing is people shiner fishing and not adapt to fishing around him lob a big shiner and he WILL catch it. He is a very cool bird though.

Be careful around the so called friendy owls. One of them sent a friend of mine to the hospital. He was taking a fish off his line and the owl came in and grabbed the top of his hand instead of the fish. He's 85 years old and he blead like a stuck pig. It could have killed him...........
