Okatibbee 3-8

I got on the lake at 6:30 this morning and the wind was around 10 mph. By 8:30 it was more like 20 with waves breaking over the bow of the boat. I was catching them 9 ft deep over brush piles on the edge of a creek channel. I left at 9:00 with 24.

The hottest jig was a rabbit jig that was palmered with cross cut rabbit hide.

Thanks, the trick is to get there at daylight, I guess. You can get a couple hours in before the hurricane force stuff hits.

I'm so ready to hit Okatibee up again. Scott, dad and I are taking a couple days vacation april 5,6, and 7th and we r going to pull the camper down to Okatibee and camp. If you and Steve get a chance yall need to swing by one night and we will have a fish fry.

That's the weekend for the spring camp at Sardis. I'll take a rain check though.

Tomorrow's weather is making me cry seeing as I will be leaving for Foley in about an hour, the wind always lays when I can't go. Carol wants to visit with Son so away I go.

Don't let G have it. He's trying to steal my thunder or something. I,m seating down here in Foley wishing I was in my seat on Okatibbee. For you bank runners it is on from all the phone calls I been getting but I still like it out on the creek spider rigging best.

I saw a guy catch one yesterday in a foot of water, not leaving here till 10 or so, maybe we can find a spot.

I fished from 6:15 this morning till noon. I saw the game wardens in a boat checking folks and I had 28 on my counter so I figured I'd better high tail it out of there. Good thing I did. Lol

If your counter said 28 then you had at least 34....I have seen how that works, lol
