I've got a 12v Motorguide 40lb, foot control/cable steer. It's either a 4 or 5 speed, not a variable speed.
What was wrong with it?
Dunno. Surprised me. So much so that i replaced the pull rope and just hooked it up to teat as an after thought Got power to the pedal. The switch felt soft but I removed it and I had continuity. Foot is not frozen but haven't disassembled any further. Since its only a 3 speed, think I'd rather just scrap and go with a variable though.
Release, that's work but I really want a full variable speed.

V2 is too much mota. This is a single pole boat with nary a rack on it. What else ya got?
