Well, I'm headed to Sardis tomorrow and try to catch a bunch of dinks, and hopfully a few keepers. If the wind blows to hard, we 'll be the ones parasailing!!! Y'all stop and say hello if ya see my red Xpress boat.

Y'all have fun! Catch a boat load!
Yall stay safe, west southwest winds sustained around 20 mph and gust to the mid 40s predicted.
good luck
If yall are there all I I might see ya later this afternoon
Red flag warning for high winds after 10 am. Be careful.
From a good source.
A single jig pole and no minnows should be as easy as shooting fish in a barrel to limit out single pole fishing around standing timber south east of Teckville Ramp about where #14 is on this map Detail Map Waters deeper there around that bowl shaped part of the river channel. We always wear the big slabs out. Plus this time of year, you don't catch many small fish. But be careful not much water up there.
is there enough water to put in Teckville?
Teckville is where Holiday Lodge is aint it?? If so yes, but way out in the lake, two rampps below the lower parking lot.
I'm no expert on whether it is same as HL...I'm still learning this lake and I haven't ventured to any other boat ramp beyond the one by the dam, but this one looked closer to get to than going all the way to the dam.
I think it's one and the same, someone will chime in. I am learning the Sardis stuff too, fish out of Engineers when I fish cause it is the closest to me.
They have a channel cut to put in at teckville/holiday lodge. But I would put in at engineers point.
If u put in at Teckville on the lower ramp... Be very careful. You have to run in the ditch, otherwise the water is only about 1 ft. I would advise waiting a week or two.. N putting in at engineer point if you are not familiar. I only saw 3 people who put in at Teckville on Thursday..and we had a rough time of it when we went to eat lunch at Holiday...
Holiday Lodge is at Teckville Landing. I put in at Engineers Point Thursday and drove up the ditch at Teckville. Plenty of water in the ditch to navigate and I saw three small empty boat trailers there.
We caught about 30-40 crappie with 8 keepers had 5 drift socks out and still ran close to 1 mph at times. It was very rough.

Good job on the keepers.
Tks Barbie it was hard work keeping the boat and lines straight in those winds

Way to go Bill and Gator, the wind was tough here too. I stayed home and worked on jigs.
Take a bucket of water with you .

I took the wife shopping with me to harbor freight. She was putting as much in the cart as I was. Then birthday dinner for the sister-in-law.
