Glad you started the roll call CA1. We'll need a head count so we have enough food and drinks for lunch. We'll plan to weigh in at the Lake Monroe park (volusia side) around noon. That's when we'll start the charcoal etc. For those that want to get out earlier the park doesn't open until 7AM you might want to use the Seminole county side. I'll have everything we need for lunch and the all important scale. No need for anyone to bring anything but big fish.

Looks like a formidable Lake Monroe team! I really didn't mean for this to be a Monroe only roll call. Where's Talquin?
Going to get the vittles and drinks tomorrow. Was fishing but the WM says HIGH winds. It looks like we have 14 boats and 27 people fishing Saturday! Do the math, but let the Talquin powders see it cause it might freak em' out!! 27 fisherpeople = 200+ poles in the water!!
I will be there with my son-in-law from North Dakota.
Well, you freaked us out...:yikes Last count Hooker had was at least 20 boats...2 people per boat....Well you can figure out the restRofl....Wasn't gonna post this number, but Hooker, Rawhide and myself figured we would give you a day or 2 to start making excuses...Anyone still need directions to Talquin???Rofl
I know where it is...but me and the OCK (original crappie killer) are gonna catch a couple of 2 lb fish in Monroe on Saturday. It sounds kind of fun.
Well, I half figured this would happen .....
Got to work Saturday ..........
Sorry guys .......:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Me + 2, maybe even 3, I have 2 double seat stands so i guess were good...........lol
We are here fishin talguin I would like to take part in the tournament.
I am new to this web site and would love to Learn how to become More involved with the tournaments.
If you are already at Talquin and want to fish with a winning team, then get on I10 east to I75 south to I4 east. When you get to Sanford you will be at LAKE MONROE. Known for the largest fish and best fishermen in Florida. So don't listen to those boys at Talquinpowder Lake. They will fill you with a bunch of small crappie. Rofl
The wind forecast changed DRASTICALLY since last night... sooooooo..... here's what we're up against. Wind at 16mph at 6AM out of the N...then by 11AM 18mph out of the E. Some sources say as high as 20+. Also, the forecast is changing every hour or so for the worse. That's the good news, the bad news is Russ and I caught some BIG fish this morning in the Lake, but we don't stand a chance of fishing the lake so don't even think about it! It will be whitecapping with 2 to 3' waves with the wind coming out of the NE and then the E. Not to worry though......My suggestion is to start fishing in the marina, go east in the channel toward the lake as far as you can then troll back west. This whole area will be out of the wind most of the morning. Another suggestion is to turn right out of the marina into the river an you'll find several places out of the wind or least minimal wind. Get with me, hs, chunky,Russ, andy, blsd, crappielover and they'll tell you about the river areas to fish. I'm sure there are others that will know also. By the way looks like Taquin will have 10 to12 mph winds. See everybody there!!

Wunderground is stil calling for 7mph at 7am and a high of 14mph. I will decide in the A.M. where I will be fishin. I do not trust them forecasters any more.
I just googled lake monroe park and it says the park is 5 miles north of the lake, this cannot be right. Someone have an adress?
SYG:
If you are coming down 95, get off at the Interstate 4 WEST just south of Daytona Beach. That should be exit # 260.
Go SOUTH WEST on Interstate 4 until EXIT# 104, should be about 28 miles. Get off exit, go to the stop light at RT 17 - 92. GO LEFT toward DEBARY. You will go across the St. Johns River, as soon as you get off the bridge, the Volusia County Park is on the RIGHT HAND side of the rd.
Link Lake Monroe Park.
If this confuses you post back and will try to give better directions.

Didn't mean to put the afraidies in anybody. I'll be fishing no matter what the weather is. That's the reason I bought an unsinkable boat. lol I too, will be fishing according to what the weather is when I see it for myself. Never trusted the weather people!!!!
