Dardanelle used to be full of those things, may still be, but I haven't caught a fish this year with one on it, I have caught bass with several on them in years past.
I've caught 2 Crappie with them on em already this year. They are ''Chestnut Lampreys''
They are some nasty little suckers!
Only got a dozen crappie this afternoon but I must have caught 30 whites and hybrids.
What kinda fish had the Lamprey on it?

Ohh ya.. I ran into one of those with Ski-Trip on the White River, never seen one before it jumped off in the boat and I thought of that scene from the first Alien movies. LOL

I catch a few white bass every spring out of Millwood with lamprey's on them.

We used to see them in the Hot Springs creek arm of Lake Hamilton.
