Florida's looking better and better. Especially after last nights snow
Two more weeks and I'm on the way there for a little fishing and r @r. I'm really glad that missed us here.
Flordia is downhill from Georgia.......Course there are a few good people down there.....but not the "Monroe Maniacs".......Who claim they can catch bigger fish than us "Talquinites"
Is that areal picture from today?
There is nothing here but alligators, snakes, skunks, possums, coons, bears and panthers. We don't have any fish either!
BUT it's 't'shirt weather, negates all that other stuff, except fish aren't biting.(left Minnesota in 1959).--shu
beautiful pic.
No he is going to stop at Talquin instead. Can't give you boy's the edge.
Yep, cold snap headed our way too. Supposed to drop into the 50's again...a 20 degree drop off our highs.
well I will have to get my carharts out again.
Damn!! Guess I better go hunt up me some socks if its gettin cold again down here. Come on down Slab, the weather is great.
Yep, wife took it this morning. I'm in Door County WI Ice fishing for Whitefish. Going to a Fish Boil tonight.http://www.crappie.com/crappie/attac...d-photo-3-.jpgI got a good feeling I'll be down there in Florida just a little more than I have been in the past.
Fish Boil?? Do ya boil em like shrimps? If I see a pot of boiling water there ain't no telling what i might toss in it, never heard of boiling fish though.
It's amazing how perfect that pic looks the first couple months, then how much it looks like work the remaining months, been there done that, oh well, find some time to get out on the snowmobile & make tracks......White Flag Icon
OMG! Brings back the memories , of growing up in Illinois. Its always pretty, until you get out on the roads! Dont miss it! Come on down, you and wife wont miss it either!
The ice fishing pics are great! makes us appreciate florida that much more!
I'm no chef but I can cook some southern stuff. That said, how do you fry boiled fish? If I wanted boiled fish I'd open a can of tuna.:fish
Raised in the Northeast, 33 yrs in FL, I have to say I have the best of both. We take care of most of our snow with a broom. Might change my mind in a few years. I do miss the "old" Florida that was everywhere down there in the 70's. High Springs and White Springs still have a lot of that, hasn't been rebuilt for the tourists. Guess I don't like change. If I had to go out and work outside, or do a commute, I'd probably feel different.
