I like all 3 of the tails, altho I'm partial to hair.
Crappie will like different tails at different times so for me I can't just say or use just one. I use hackle, marabou & kip tail as well as several other kinds of hair and feathers including, but not limited to the following:
Fox, Polar bear, squirrel, rabbit, pheasant, duck, partridge and more!
Those look good YJ.
skip where in the world did u find polar bear i have heard tht stuff is very rare and hard 2 get ur hands on and have it legal
There is Only one or two shops in the country that sell it and they have a supply that is approved by the Feds. The cost is out of site and really can't tie with it to sell as no one would pay as much as it would take.
Don't remember the name of the places now, but I assure you that you dont want any for what they sell it for, LOL! I have a couple small bags of it, not sure how many colors, but cost a ton! Was almost impossible to find!
dont think i want the trouble 2 have it.
You have a PM!
You have the colors down pat! Those will catch fish.Thumbs Up
The original "doll fly" jigs were made with polar bear fur and some still show up from old stock. Keep the eyes open.
Speaking of "Old Stock" doll flies and polar bear hair, how would an ordinary person know if it was polar bear hair? I guess if you knew your hair well enough you would know the difference between it and other hair, but probably most people woud not. Are there any fool proof methods to identify polar bear? Thanks.
