Thanks guys. I'll look it up skinnyhoops.
Welcome to the mad house! Hit up adjust555 or fishin813, they should be able to lead ya in the right direction.
have not been there in a month. I would start working the north end in 6 to 12fow. Find some hydrilla and work it. Great lake to fish. Piney point in 10 to 12fow is a hot spot also. Spidder rigging works best for me there. but Long lining when they r spread out does the trick too. Good luck. Will shoot u a pm when I get a chance to head up that way again.
welcome to florida
adjust555~~~thanks for the info. Will try to put it to good use Thursday. Any bait shops over that way for minnows?
Slabkeeper~~thanks! looking forward to some good fishing

Don't know where you are comming from but these two should have minnows. Cody prices are higher but closer to Tarpon.
Thanks! Coming from Indian Rocks Beach
Made it over to the lake Thursday. Wind was rough but we did pick up around 30. Not familiar with the lake to name spots but most fish came from the mouth of the canal going towards the bridge. 10 fow 5 feet deep. Water temp stayed around 67.5 most of the day. Being from Ky not use to sharing the water with gators!! That makes you take notice! Thanks again for everyones help and info. Looking forward to meeting you guys sometime.
The Gators won't bother you unless somebody has been feeding them. Then they might swim right up to you. You can tell the difference(sp) by the smile on their face.
you stayin there or have moved to Florida on more perm. basis.
Commin up Indian Rocks is another bait shop, check it out on Whitepages.com
Minnows are expensive on West side of bay...........can go $2.00 dozen or more
i will check with one of FCC members in Tarpon area to get you an addess and
phone number also.........Clearwater Bait & Tackle good place to get minnows.
This third place is a feed store, looking for phone number as we speak...have good
prices on minnows
Anderson park off hwy 19 is place to put in............cost $6.00 to launch, but is
open 24 - 7.............Booker point opens at 7am and closes 7pm. Tarpon is one
of hottest spots on west side of state outside of Manatee down by Bradenton.
You are restricted to 20 hp mtr or trolling mtr only that 2500 acre lake. can have
bigger motor on board, just cannot start it............
Adjust555 pretty much told you where to start...........there are some goods ones
in there. Keith Dillon another FCC member caught a 3 lb 3 oz about 2 months ago
and is having mounted as we speak.........
