Isnt that the one that has the mercury restrictions on it?
Acording to the state DEQ site
MDEQ - Mississippi Fish Tissue Advisories and Commercial Fishing Bans
all delta water mainland side of the MS river levee except Steele Bayou, Black Bayou, Bee Lake, Recon Lake, and Charlie Capps Lake have consumption limits. It doesn't look like crappie is on the list of fish under the advisory in any waters though.
Dont eat the belly meat!!!
I've fished Bee Lake many times, and I think it's about as good as Grenada lake, lots of 3 pound crappie. It also has lots of snakes, and some say gators, but I've never seen any.
One of my favorite lakes....

I'm thinking you're talking about a bend in the Yazoo river that was cut off by the levee years ago. It produces some nice fishes at times. Ramp is kinda rough, but manageable.
Speaking of Bee lake. Can you wade it and not take a boat to where you wanna start wading?
I stopped one day to read the lake info at the ramp. Other than the regular large catfish warning, I don't remeber seeing anything else warning about fish consumption.
Do yall know if it is possible to wade fish this lake or do you think its worth the 30min drive to just go to Bee Lake?
Yea Don you can wade it, but it's got some bad snakes that love waders, plus it's suppose to have dem gators. Dem snakes you can keep yo eye on em, but dem gators love dem waders, they taste just like chicken to dem.
If you go I get first dubs on yo green cup.
