Wow. Nice catch
Mike, did you catch those with minnows or jigs? Brush piles or stick ups. Tightlining or spider rigging? How deep, and what color? What part of the lake? HOw about some info for the guys who can't go fishing and use it anyway :p
Nice bunch of fish though, looks like some good size to. You must have gotten in a factory down there, I usually get into the day care ?.?
A Friend and I caught all them on jigs (I never use minnows) tightlining brushpiles.
I can almost smell them cookin:cheers2 Great catch!
Care to give anymore hints????????..................lol, I have been wanting to go real bad.
I'm impressed with the rod collection. And my wife says I have too many. LOL
What color jigs do you prefer on your lake? I know every lake is different. On J Percy Priest where I fish, you can use any color you want as long as it is black and chartreuse, LOL. My buddy that fishes KY Lake says they are primarily hitting on white/sparkle. Normandy crappie prefer bright orange and chartreuse. It must be the difference in the color of the water that makes them want so many different colors.
That's about the way I've got my rods rigged up. We'll be fishing West Sandy Creek on Wednesday and Thursday. Spider riggin....if we don't get any hits to speak of, we'll switch to jiggin brush piles.
I love fishing the mouth of Big Sandy myself. I wish I was going to be there Wed. and Thursday. I have found some good brush piles in there longline trolling. Caught alot of fish in there and newport last year. Good luck..I am jealous
