new to the perch fishing world i was wondering if anyone would volunteer any information on these three lakes eagle chotard or calling panther such as when, jig or minnow, jig style and color, water height, temp anything that might help me catch a few this being my first year to try out any thing besides beetle spins in farm ponds thanks!
always thought Calling panther was a trophy Green Carp lake? Eagle and Chotard are great tho. Eagle is more single pole and dock shooting, Chotard can be great for trolling and single poling.

what is world is a green carp? and as far as panther goes Ill keep it to myself if anyone has ever fished it should notice it is on Gaddy Lane,,,,,and where i come from we catch white perch north of here you can have your crappies.. tell somebody here you have a crappie boat they'll just tell you to sell it and get you a good one hahaha.... south in coon ass country they catch sac-a-lait

I caught a wad of crappie last March and April at CP. Every time i went the wind was blowing a million mph. Only bad thing about that lake is all the snags, but there is a bunch of crappie. Don't waste a bunch time trying to learn Calling Panther...it ain't a crappie lake. Spend your time on Eagle and Chotard.
the reason I ask about panther is because i live about 3 miles from it so I can fish it alot gonna try lake lincoln too I have some buddies with a trailer near the lo sto landing at eagle so were gonna try it some if it will quit raining and possibly warm up enough to enjoy it
I am not a pro by any means but I have fished Eagle Lake and Chotard since I was a kid. I have caught fish troling in the upper end of Eagle. I used the markers with weights on the end to mark the spots I caught fish. I then just trolled back and forth around them. As the weather warms up try around the trees, and structure. I have not fished Chotard for Crappie but have caugh a lot of big bream around the trees. I troll around trees in may and June using crickets.
