Look up robert crazy angler he's. A c.c member that's where I got my custom molds
best PM Fatman as he has a couple of link to custom molds. If you need machine work done on them check with local CNC machine shops.Best that I can do at this time. Just a thought but if you have a local Vo/tec school that teaches machining you might check with them.
You might have to go as far as St.Louis to have it done. Have you checked in Jeff city or Warsaw??? Robert at Crazy Angler use to do this type of work but no longer does.

We've been discusing this on another forum for a week or so. If you find someone, please let me know. Like Redman said, Robert doesn't do it anymore.
For what you asked I don't think these guys will be able to help you but you can ask:
I've never used them!!! but folks on some bass boards I look at do.
Ace Hand Molds Ace Hand Molds and Fishing Molds
Hi Tech Lure molds but they only do single cavity, and if a head you want made has a trade mark you can forget it he won't touch it. Lure

I would like to get a 1/32 oz mold converted to 1/24 oz. and cannot find anyone to do it either.
there is a guy in virginia named shawn collins, and he does jigmolds, custom too. he did one for me about 5 years ago. top notch work, but it was on a blank he had made from aircraft aluminum. alot of guys have complained about him not doing fast work or returning emails and calls, but he was a one man operation with a backlog of work I guess. I will say his work is second to none tho. last I checked he had a nice website.
That is one thing that must be used is Aircraft Grade Aluminum for custom molds. One of the reasons that Do-It doesn't change there molds much. They are set for production and don't want to change much. Cast blanks feed blanks in to machine. put on handles and hinges and ship them out the door. Son has visited the place and said it is a small operation.
Denver, Iowa is on the North east side of Waterloo, Iowa and my son lives on the South west side.
The easiest molds to make are the single cavity type. I use to be able to turn one out in about 3 hours once the pressing blank or slug was made.

There is a you tube video that will show you how to convert a 1/32 oz mold to a 1/24oz mold using a drill and a 1/4 bit. It is called Crappie Fishing making a 1/24 oz jighead mold.
Wildcatter we have mauled that over and determined that it really doesn't work all that well. Best to leave it to professionals with the right equipment. There is a two pages of post on this subject on this thread. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/jig-t...y-do-mold.html If you haven't done any machine work. you can ruin a good mold really quick.

Thanks Hunter i tried collins and he said he couldn't help...the search continues.
I emailed DO IT and asked them about 1/24 oz molds and they responded they would foward my email to the development team
Hook Solutions
Hooksolutions made one mold for me.....works good.
They don't have much info about the mold making, do they use aluminum??? what roughly is pricing???
If you are talking about hooksolutions call and talk to David......It's aluminum and he did not mail it to me until it was right. Price was in same range as Shawn Colling.......$150.00 to the best of my memory......It's already paid for itself. I have contacted Do-It before about certain Molds and their response was "we don't make those"
Thanks for the info.
Contacting do-it is a waste of time they treat you like you're stupid....i talked to them the other day and he just kinda laughed and said it takes about 10 grand to get a mold into production and we're not looking to expand our lineup at this time thanks for your intrest is there anything else i can help you with????
Seriously who do they think they're kidding. They have them all programmed and they could easily take parts and create a new mold if they REALLY wanted to. It's like they're turning business away.
For what it would cost, I would think buying a new mold would be cheaper, plus you still have the 1/32 oz. but you could check with a tool and die shop around town. Used to work in one, and we done stuff like that every little bit, but @ $40+ an hour, it ain't gonna be cheap.
