Thanking about getting a outlaw rod any pros or cons
I've had a few 10' cork handle Outlaws and they are great. I'm rough on them and always seem to break guide in the first eye but I just snip it off so i guess it would be about a 9'10" rod now LOL. Anyways they are very nice I use them and the Bert Bennett rod from Grizzly Jig Co.
Hey Crappie King,
For the money you can not beat the Hi-Tec rod at Pana Bait Company Cost is $24-$26 10 or 12 foot want the green/black rod not orange/ black color.
Outlaw is a great rod, I think it is heavier than the Hi-Tec both are just as strong. I have used both of them and own both
Just got a outlaw rod have'nt use it yet. but i just got a Hi tec @ collieville and it's pretty go what do you think of crappie Max that what the Hi tec seem like too me but want to
try the outlaw.
I purchased the Outlaw rod last fall, have used it several times, I really like it.
OK thank you guess I will have to try one out
ozark rod all the way
you need to try the pro angler 10 and 12 foot crappie rod, it is the lighest but stongest on the market.
Does anyone cast with the outlaw 8'2"er? I'm looking for an 8'er to cast fixed corks with jigs. Thinking about the Outlaw 8'2" or the Buck's Ultimate 8'
I bought a 12foot outlaw last year for fishing the brush and was surprised the abuse the rod could take.Didn't loose many jigs because the rod was stiff enough to push in the brush to get the jigs out but is also pretty sensitive. I bought the 8'2 for fixed corks as well and really like it.
you can always talk to JR, he owns Outlaw. his handle on crappie.com is alwaysfishin
I have emailed him, seems like a great guy and very willing to help. His Pro-Elite series rods look really nice. I'm planning to pick up an outlaw 8'2" (Pro-Elite or Standard) this weekend.
Amidst all of the slabdaddy drama, I thought I would throw up some pictures and first impressions of my new Outlaw 8'2" setup to support one of the good things about cdc.

I have my Pflueger President on it with Vicious 10 lb braid with Ardent Line Butter sprayed on it. I really like the Vicious 10 lb, nice and limp, casts a mile, super strong. I like the long cork handle more than the foam handle on my Brushcutter. It is pretty well balanced and very light. Has a little rubber cap on the butt of the handle, complete with Made in China sticker. The rings on the reel seat were pretty tight and it would have been nice to have some checkering on the reel seat to keep my reel from rotating. There is also a very small amount of play where the reel seat meets the top half of the handle. It came with a year warranty with original receipt.

You can see the bright green tip, I don't think it glows but it's very hi-vis. It's got 9 eyelets and a slight taper- .30" diameter right above the handle, .25" right above the break, .20" right below the 4th eyelet, and .11" at the tip. I am taking it out for the first time Friday afternoon to bank fish the dam at Lake Charleston. Hopefully taking it to Shelby next week if the weather improves. I'll post something on how it fishes after taking it out a few times.
Anybody know what the actions are on their 7'2 or 8'2 rods?
How do any of these compare to the 7' 10' and 12' Sam Heaton's? I have the 7' and 10' and just love them. Thinking of getting a 12'.
