I figure I can't go wrong with the design. If it doesn't work out, I'll use it for an industrial strength fly swat. Just ain't enough hours in the day to get done all I need to get done.

Looking good....."Super Fly" comes to mind.....
Looks good, I'd like to see it mounted on the boat.
Where's it mount?
im guessin the seat ped.
It mounts on the rear rod holder. I hung it on there this morning before work. Pics will come soon. I'm looking for some knobs either a 1/4 20 or 5/16 18 thread with a through hole. I could buy them online, but may check Lowes after work.
Here's a pic from tonight. With the "super fly" hung on the boat. I'd like nothing better than going to Nimrod to road test my junk, but it'll be a little while before I'll be able to do that.

man that looks good!!
I am glad you got the mounted before Carol uses it on you this summer. I love pullin cranks when I know I just went over a school. Get ready it wont be long. I hope the ground hog doesnt see his shadow tomarrow. I dont think I can take 6 more weeks of this weather
That is a real clen setupThumbs Up i have a couple things mounted on my boat with exposed bolt threads, like your u clamp I bout some clear tubing from lows that fit overthreads and just cut it off little longer than thread. I figured if it's exposed I'm gona break a line on it.:yikes
Started to put a piece of 1/4 gas hose over the threads of the first mounts I built. Instead, I bought some nylon spacers and 1/4 nylon acorn nuts. It does a neat job covering the threads. I have already done it on the custom mounts on the front. I will put up pics of that soon as well. Gotta protect that skin and the line. Don't want any damage on either one.
Cray, apparently you and I think alike. Those exposed threads usually end up being bad news.
I like it........PLUS.........no more holes!Thumbs Up
I like the setup. Looks like it will give you plenty of adjustment.
Getting closer. Just a battery replacement, a little more wire routing and some clean up and I'll be ready. Gotta pull on-call from now till next weekend and then it's fishing time if there is no lightning. Here's the front view with the nylon acorn nuts on the t-bolts. Checked the rear with the seat in place and the sonar is in easy reach.
