Haven't had a real open faced roast beef sammich in years. Have another one for me.:biggrin
We left with to go boxes that weigh about 3 lbs each. Lol. That place is fine!
thts a good place 2 eat i love it
I stopped there for dinner last night on my way home from Grizzly.
Roast beef, mashed taters, corn, fried okra, fried taters, rolls, and nanner pudding.
Good food for sure.
I'm sorry, but I don't recall YOU bringing ANYTHING by my house... Surely u didn't go to one of my fav's and forget to bring me dinner....looks like someone is gonna be stuck at the ramp while I go fishin....then again, we are taking a road trip in two weeks... Better bring some walking choos.
ate at the one in foley, alabama............it was great, and the rolls are outa this world!
According to our server they throw (serve) 6-700 dozen of those rolls per day.
no dessert ,left with a 3lb to go box also today, fine eating
Compared to their entree's, the nanner pudding was amazingly small. It came in one of the 1/2 cup bowls they serve the vegetables in.
Four bites and it was gone.
Looks like a great meal. Looks like a good time to be had by all.
Not just the great food, but the experience is worth the trip.
That fine place give's a new meaning to the term (HEAD'S UP,,,):yikes
:cheers2
been goin there for 30 some odd years, back when mr lambert was throwin rolls. kinda sad, his son was killed in a auto accident, i think it was, and years later he took his own life. thank goodness someone kept the tradition going. didn't have time to go over this last trip. have they still got the train that runs around the top of the restaurant? my boys enjoyed that as much as catchin rolls when they were little.
The train is still running.
Always eat at the one in Foley Al when we go to Gulf Shores AL. Great food for sure.
I've eaten at the Foley location several times also. The ceiling isn't as high in that one as well as several ceiling fans. That makes for some funny roll throwing accidents.
