Inline where? I have two 50 amp back in the back where the wires slit one for one battery and one for the other. I can send a pic this weekend if you want.
these are the type with the reset on the side and post connection
I use the Bussman 60amp inline right at the battery on the positive lead for my 24v system, the same unit rebadged for MK sales.
Bussman 60 Amp Circuit Breaker Waterproof 184060 | eBay
Mine is a 60 amp. I think it's a Minn Kota brand
ok--that is how mine is as well--go with the MK one for sure.
ok guys, I just found one at walmart, says its for trolling motor for 7.96, why such a price different in all of these ?? Attwood 50-Amp Circuit Breaker $7.96
its the type kinda like this one

U can reset the minn kota 60 amp that I have. Maybe that's it.
You bet. Actually I have kinda the same type pictured but its plastic body and they can be reset. I paid about 10 bucks a piece for them. Was the same one's as the original on the Ranger. Seems to work fine haven't had a bit of issue with them. Not sure why the other type is so expensive other than how it's made. I don't have that type just because I don't have a good place to mount it. The two inline works for me really well.
not sure of brand off hand but it is a 60 amp on the MK 101
Difference is the Walmart one is manual reset and the other I prolly an auto reset.
Wannabe...
I have a 60 amp fuse, but on speed 4 I burn the wires at the inline fuse holder. So the fuse does no good. I know, I need bigger wire. I have 12 wire now. Go to 8?
Go with the big one in a manual reset.
The MK is actually waterproof whereas the automotive style pictured above are not. I've had to replace plenty of the older auto style that have corroded under my console. The MK/Bussman is a manual reset breaker.
Not sure what size mine is but I got one.
Which Circuit Breaker?
I have two 40 amp in the battery compartment of my 86 Ranger, and a MinnKota 60 amp on the positive terminal in my 15 ft Alumacraft....I hope this is helpful
Larry....Get the MK circuit breaker.....the paperwork that comes with your TM shows which one they reccomend and how to install etc. Do not cheap out on this because not only is your expensive TM in jepardy but your boat is also.
If there is a positive lead to any of my batteries, they have a breaker on them. Even my radio.
I asked Art which one I needed and he sold me one LOL
went ahead an ordered the 60 amp breaker that is recommended, thanks to all for your input

The reason the Minkota type is more expensive is the internal contacts are designed to carry more curren/voltage than the smaller auto reset type from automotive store or Walmart. Just like using 6 gauge wire verses 10 gauge . They will work but how well. Those motors cost way to much to cheap out on a breaker.
