Do they make em strong enuff to pull 2 cranks????
John, you can pull 2 on each pole now. I've done it a few times. Ya just have to be careful or it'll get all tangled up
I'd think the rig is strong enough to handle two cranks. The problem is they cost about $28 apiece. To be legal you could just tie some teasers, without hooks, on the other wires.
Send stiffler a pm. He makes a crappie rig for $10.00 that weighs 1/10 oz..
The ones my kids have won't handle two cranks I'm sure. The wire is only .035". I've made some that are wider than the the original design that jus might work. Mine are .040" wire cause that's all I could get my hands on at the time. I'll make one tonight with only two drops and post a pic.
Thanks Minner, I'd like to see one.
Man I lose enough cranks using them one at a time, I'd have to get a 2nd job if I lost them 2 at a time.
Ain't that the truff.
Thanks minner. Think I lost 4 cranks last year

When I ran them doubled up. I was running one about 10 feet up the line
Well, I didn't get it made last night cause I started gettin ready fer a renovation, but that's another story I'll tell in a minute.
There is one thing I can tell ya that's gonna happen. It's gonna be HEAVY. The rigs I made to spider rig with were very heavy. I started out with no weight on the line and a 1/4 oz jig head on the middle drop and 4 minner hooks on the outside drops. Had to take the jig head off and replace with minner hook and still had to aim my ros holders about 15* above center to keep the tips out of the water.
Here is a dissucssion of this topic. Some good info.

bass pro got one for $14.99
Check the classified. He's been makin them and they work. Fished with him a couple of times and used them both times in 36 deg. water and caught fish. skeeterxs175.
Lost most of my 4 at Choctaw, was very fortunate I guess

My bass fishing buddy for my bassing days made these but don't call them Ala rigs as both he and his wife graduated from Auburn so you know what he calls them.

There easy to make. I would suggest .045 wire. It don't bend and tangle you up. Tried the lighter wire but they tangled when a fish was caught.
