My dad will only eat fried crappie. I let him scarf a platefull before I told him it was crappie
Man, that looks good!
It was pretty good. Was quick and easy too
Sounds like a repeat. Thats what we call anything we concoct that ends up good
Looks good ES. I make something that looks kinda similar that I call Ro Tel crappie. Filets in a pan, drain a can of rotel, bake, and cover with shredded cheese. Serve with rice. Good stuff. Never thought about nachos though. May hafta try it now...

Looks good !! But I want to know how you end up with 3 filets in the skillet ??? Did you catch 1 1/2 fish???
I tell ya what...............it looks good!Thumbs Up
Man, That is some good lookin eats there! There is some guy on discovery channel that lives in coastal California that goes up and down the coastal cities and eats Mexicam fish dishes. Then he and his wife go home and replicate what they think is in the dish. Looks so appetizing makes me want to slobber on myself. Being a old gewber, I do that anyway!Cookin ain't rocket science!Recipe???? Did you put Jalapenos in them? I think I would like them with a touck of heat! I also think I will try that with soft tortillos rather than nacho chips and make them tacos!!
OLD FISHERMEN NEVER DIE, THEY JUST SMELL THAT WAY!!
Dat looks good ES
Cook 3 or 4 fillets in minimum cooking oil. Chop the fillets once cooked enough, then add chili powder and cavenders (or salt to taste). Also added jalepenos and mexican green sauce. Greased 9 x 13 pan and lined with a layer of nacho chips. Add crappie mix, drizxle with salsa and top with cheese. Heat in oven at 350 until cheese melts (around 10 minutes). Only takes about 15 minutes to prep. Enjoy
Okay, you're elected to bring a foot tub of that to Spring Camp.
That might just make my super bowl party menu right there.ONLY thing I may do different is to boil the filets in crab boil instead of frying them
not a bad idea at all there ES. Sure looked good!
That looks good ES . I will have to try that.
Looks good ES!!!
I blackened some a couple nights ago, and had crappie tacos. Shredded cabbage made into a slaw with Pancho's green taco sauce. Was purty good!
Pancho's green sauce is the best.
Pancho's green sauce rocks. Not sure about on the nacho's tho. Although I bet drizzling some of their cheese dip on the would be right on time
Y'all almost had me driving to Memphis for Pancho's taco lunch special with green sauce.
