Degray Lake 1/7/12
Dad and I caught a good mess today. They weren't tearing it up, but we had some success finding them about 20-22 feet deep in 30-32 feet of water. They liked a chartreuse tube jig better than regular minnow or rosie reds. We think they might be located even deeper, but we don't have any condos out that deep....yet.

Thanks guys. The crappie weren't hitting hard, but once you set the hook the fight was on! Been a while since we've gotten into crappie that frisky.
We were fishing FFA & Corp of Engineer's crappie condos. So anyone that has the waypoints file I send out can locate these same condos.

That's about the depths I found them in myself out there, what little I caught. Glad somebody caught a few. Not having a GPS system I couldn't locate those spots yall made. I found some deeper brush but it didn't seem to hold much. The fish I saw on the graph at 28-32 or 34' were either Stripes or LMBass. I caught several of those. I'm surprised yall didn't catch any Stripers. They fight like mules!! I may have to give Hamelton a try next though if I can keep from running aground out there. I gotta find a lake map of Hamelton first though. I may try to get my dad to head to Blue mnt Lake when he takes off her in a couple weeks where I know the slabs are plentiful.
