Caught several good ones and had a good time being on the water for the first time this year. We had 10 keepers and probably 50 throwbacks. I bet 80% of the throwbacks were over 10 to. The biggest of the day was 2.29

Miss slabs??? I thought he was talking about Sardis lake in OK?? It's a well known crappie lake frm what I hear too. I know Pine Creek and Hugo have good numbers of crappie.
Sounds and looks like you guys had a great time on the water. Congrats on the trip and catch and thanks for sharing.Thumbs Up

Nice!
was them caught on your new jigs?????????????????????
Nice,,I have never been to sardis,,it appears in all photo's I've seen to be dingy to brown water all time?
Very Nice fish... Thanks for the report
Yes, Sardis is not clear at all. When I filled up the livewell the fish disappeared in it, lol. We caught most of our fish on minnows but that is mainly all we fished with.
Very nice!!!! That one is a hawg for sure!!!
Thanks handicrappie, creekslick...just trying to get a feel for the other lakes..
Butla and Grenada are mud holes but they have some big crappie. Cant wait to pull some cranks down there this summer. Hey xring - Its not the brown water to worry about, its the rough water. It is not for the weak hearted. I fish Sardis and Butla most and will drive 25 miles from the dam on the road to keep from making a 3 mile boat ride to my fishing spot when the wind gets up. Also its a shorter trip for me to drive than going to Conway or your lake. Nice catch Handi.... I am glad to see you got out.
