Thinking about heading down to Green River this weekend. Any thoughts on the affect the recent weather will have on the fish? Highs around 30 early in the week back to the low to mid 50's for the weekend.
Thanks for any input.

I'll be up in the river by the bridge with a few dozen minnows. We've had some pretty nice catches this winter due to the abnormally warm weather.
I plan to fish up river of Holmes Bend on Sat. if the on/off switch for my troll motor gets here tomorrow
I will be down toward Butler creek.:biggrin
Hope to be there saturday as well. Had to break ice on minnow ponds to get the trap in today. Anybody have any idea on water clarity? I'll also be putting in at Holmes. Hope to see you all on the water.
I usually put in at Holmes also, so hope to run into a couple of you guys.
Good luck!!!!
Water should be clearing up since we haven't had any real rain for a week now and the Corps has stabilized the water level to normal winter pool levels.Weather forcasted highs in the 60's today! I'll be in my little 16' ti river boat so don't blow past me too fast or I might take a cold bath.
I'm going down this morning to do my annual good deed of cleaning up Lone Valley and Ramp 1 from all the metal debris at winter pool. Last year I picked up over 50 lag bolts alone on the ramp at Lone Valley ranging form 1" to 3 1/2" long. Kinda scary that there are that many sharps under our tires when we're launching/retrieving our prized boats. I would encouage you guys to do the same this winter because it only takes a couple minutes to go over the whole ramp and may save your own rear end from a flat one day soon. Pay it forward.

I will be up river from HB in a blue grey Skeeter. Will have another guy with me.
If anybody sees me say hey. We can swap lies
Good luck to all

My Dad and I will be there tomorrow. First time for both of us on Green River. Will be up above Holmes Bend. If you see a green Bassmaster boat with 2 people in it who look like they don't know what they are doing, that will be us...lol Hopefully we can find a few fish.
I'll be in a blue Bomber with an E-Tec on the back. Hope to see yall on the water. I'll probably be in the same general area.
Ill be in my slim machine teal colored Crappie Master.:highfive
Went fri, about 1/4" of ice up above Holmes Bend toward the bridge temp 34. Water is still pretty muddy. Found fish back toward Holmes 15 ft down in 20 ft of water temp around 41 there. The bite was slow plus the wind got bad. Only had 9 keepers.
Shoud be better today. Good Luck.
how did everyone do today?
We started at the bridge above HB. Plenty of fish on the sonar but no bite. Fished back to HB without any luck
Ended up below HB throwing jigs into deep wood on the channel banks and boated 18 keepers.
Much tougher day than I expected.
Had 35 keepers.:highfive
Kept 28 today. Started really slow this morning across from the dam and boated a few nice fish, then the fish just turned off about 11:00. Ran all the way past Holmes to the bridge and caught several smaller fish but nothing of size. Cruised back toward Ramp One and caught the rest over deep rocky breaks in up to 36 FOW. As a bonus I caught a 16" walleye at 4 o'clock-first one of the new year and a nice way to start with a pound and a half fish.
I guess we were the low men on the totem pole. We caught alot of fish, but only kept 10 fish between 10-12 inches. Still a great day to be out.
