I layed many a foot of carpet back in the day... give yourself about 5 inches extra each direction.. then strech it in all 4 directions useing kicker ( you can rent these)and then cut it to fit after you tack it down to the tack board along the walls and entry way... then you tuck the edge under the molding of walls with a flat edge....better to have scraps left over then to be short in any one direction.
I think he is talking about cutting out carpet to glue down in his boat.......do you have to strech that too?
bbbaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahah... duh!.. didn't even think that...LOL... no outdoor carpet is a bit differnt... on that I would glue down and tack about 3 inches under the boards for a clean look... I am sure others will jump in here that have done thier own carpet on boats.
I can draw you some stick people best i can do. PFftttttt:crazy:
Get a hold of WB, Hes an artist you know. He mainly draws Flies.

If i every redu mine i want some of that stuff they are putting in the trackers at the bps . It is not carpet . Looks like you could just blow it in . Kinda like a sprayed in bed liner for your truck . I'm just sayin'
I guess I was lucky I have old bass tracker. Pull out the decks, wrap in carpet and replace....HEHEHE
Just bought a winter project. Carpet has to go. Gonna have it sprayed with Rhino liner. Quick, easy, relatively cheap, won't rot and crushed minners wash right out.
NO ya don't that ---T is heavy and will weigh you boat down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A light rubber compound rolled on will add cushion ferr your ol --S and make it quite!!!!!!!!!!!Wish I could afford to do 3 johns right about nowk!!!!!!!!!!!! Somebody get us a deal i need7-8 G.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been aloooooooong time since I recarpeted a bass boat I once had but I still cut extra and when gluing started from the center and worked towards the edges. Anywhere I couldnt tuck the carpet I ran a blade in the cracks along the edges to get a good close fit. Mine came out alright and I wouldnt be scared to do another one. Good luck putting your new carpet down.
I draw for a living but dont know how id get you.the prints. Dont laugh i actually went to college for drafting n design. If you dont mind dribing to jackson ill do whatever ya need to scale
NAHH, I wouldn't laugh. I have to decypher engineers scribbling and clients notes all the time. You outta see what some engineers send me.
My boat is sprayed with a product alled MultiSpeck.....its a very thin rubberised coating. I have mine in a light color so its not hot in the summer. Just hse it down to clean it.

I never seen a saltwater fishing boat with carpet...just saying
Were the pics
I can believe it--seen some of that scribble before . Actually remeasured and redrew today--forget it--I think Ive decided to just lay the carpet out--lay the lids on it--block draw the deck around the lids and cut. I've used a calculator and viso til im blind. I'll be buying more carpet i bet:(
man, they make that spray on bedliner in a can. Clean it good and put 3 or 4 good coats on it. Cost ya bout 100 bucks to get enough cans of it for the whole boat
