Back in the day, there was some talk about "brite glow paint". Does anybody care to share what the additives were. I would like to experiment with some if possible and just haven't searched to deep. Something about glow pigment and clear perhaps??? ....

I don't know about powder but with epoxy - Janns's has this glow in the dark powder that you mix in. It works pretty good.

Thanks for the PM's guys. The "Super Glow" nailed it! Super Brite, simple and no toxic smell. I added some glow chenille and glow flash. I'm wondering if their "Too Bright".
I also tried the glo-heads with Bob's glow baits he sent me. I think that combination is going to be a winner as well....

NP I have been working on a glow jig for over a year. Am trying to do one like Skip ties. He has given a hint if you read some of the old post. I know that Ship has a formula that is good. And I have Ask Skip for more hints but he told me to read the older post. I think it might be a simple thing and I know if I work hard enough at it I will get it. Skips really glow brite as well as Ships.

I really like the simplicity of Pro-Tec "Super Glow" powder paint. I tested it for longevity with no special flash charger. I laid it in the sun and then put it in a dark closet. It was still glowing bright after 4 hours.
I've heard Skip has some mysterious glow paint, but he wants to trademark it or something. I ask Ship what he knew about it, and he posts like I was trying to break his trust or something??? Not really sure what that's all about... I’ve seen some of Skip's old post where he talked about sharing it and perhaps one day he will. NUFF SAID about that subject, now let's tie some jigs and enjoy the hobby!

It's all good Skip. Why should you spill your guts after doing all of the leg work. It makes it easier to tell people to take a hike if they get short about it. I myself respect people that go over and above to figure something out on they're own.Quote:

Even knowing your secret and duplicating a few for myself was a royal pain in the butt....however it was fun. I believe I have made an entire dozen in the last five years. Eyesight started failing about then and that was it for my night fishing. I can tell the readers that Skip's glow in the dark jigs are totally awesome. The pictures he posts are only a fraction of what those puppies do under water.
I know how much work you put into developing that product Skip. I know how many months I spent trying to duplicate and replicate it before finally begging you to teach me what you know. I gave you my word as my bond never to reveal trade secrets or to sell that jig to others

Skip as you and I have talk on several different subject it don't mean much if it's given to you. Part of the fun is in the hunt. Still on the hunt for the FVF and still spend time trying to get the formula for your Glow jigs. For a old Geezer like me the pursuits keep me young and my mind active. My opinion is to make them work a bit for it. One does not learn or appreciate something that they don't do a little work for. We have a nation of those takers who don't want to work for any thing and haven't contributed anything and appreciate nothing and want more!!!!! Now where has that gotten us????

I have made some 1/32, but see no reason I can do 1/64 either. I may need to adjust something that is adjustable, but really don't see a real limit on the down side. Skip awful thoughty of you but like I said it is the hunt that I like I will get some one of these days. Will buy 10 tins like you so I will not run out too soon. Right now I am working a pound of Mc Celland's 2015 that is a year old. Now that is nicely aged. Am going to order another pound and hope I can celler it for a year.Lols. Redman I have a better idea than 2015 for now. I have not tried this I am about to tell you, but learned in a conversation with a guy in the know about another McClalland baccy that I am stunned that I never looked at and is said to be just outstanding! Will stand on its on, but also a great blender to help some other Vapers as well as some others. I am about to get some for sure and expect sweet wonderful Virgina baccy!Quote:

Tank I do enjoy a cigar once in a while mostly with coffee. Consuegra #6 Maduro. Buy them by the bundle not bad at $1.15 each. Best buy out there as far as I am concerned. Age them for a year and they taste like a Punch Rothchild. About every 8th. one will boat tail on you but at that price I will take the chance.
