A few years ago I would get the call to "suit up" for those.

He has been identified as 64 year old Larry Wayne Thomas of Jackson.
Divers have now moved to the other side of the lake in search of Mr. Thomas. He was reported missing when an un-manned boat was found circling in the water. They believe he may fallen overboard.
Shortly before 1PM Tuesday afternoon, another fisherman contacted Rankin County authorities saying there was an unmanned boat circling the water. That boat was near the highway 43 bridge at the reservoir.
Rankin County emergency officials confirmed the search for a missing boater. Around 4:40PM, dive teams entered the water.
Other fishermen in the area also helped in the search.

I hit the Rez. Today. Watched a rescue helicopter circle for about hour then saw 3-4 rescue boats.
Talked with a bud that was on one the rescue boats. They haven't found the man yet. Very sad day on the water.

I called the Rankin Co SO this morn and volunteered to bring my boat with SI, they declined. Seems like they would take all they could get.
Just talked with my buddy. They didn't find him today. They will search again tomorrow!!
Yes Major, i agree with you, they should accept all the help they could get. I am sure if it was a family member or friend to the person who turned you down, the answer would have been, COME ON PLEASE.
Ridgeland FD Rescue unit found the body today about 5pm. Finally closure for the family.

They were talking about it this morning on our local, (Meridian), news. He was originally from Meridian. Sad news.

And they found him with SI Sonar!
