Managed to catch 12 keepers and several short fish throwing jigs.
Still pretty tough with the very stained water and fast draw down.

I went out late this morning out of Lone Valley. Water looked good and got better past Holmes Bend. I didn't fish, just breaking in the boat after all the repairs I've made and marked a ton of new structure with my new HB unit. I saw two boats out all day-it was nice. The lake is back to where it should be in December.
What was the water temp? Was there much floating debris?

That is something that could happen to any of us. Would you like to give more details so the rest of us can learn from your experience? How did you get back into the boat for example? Glad things worked out for you.

I was at the lake Monday and the fact that there is hardy anyone on the water right now along with cold water temps would be scary. A reminder to wear your PFD and your kill switch in the winter time. I have fallen overboard once and the only way I could get back in the boat was to stand on the cavitation plate and hit the power tilt/trim button to tilt me up enough to flop onto the back deck of the boat. ft I didn't have power tilt then I would have been royally in a mess.
Just bought new alum. boat replaced heavy fiberglas. I went to step out of boat onto dock the lighter boat moved I tryed to jump.I had on 2 coats an lots of clothes didnt make the jump. When I hit the dock I relized I was going to fall in.There happened to be a rope tied to dock as I fell I grabed the rope went all the way under.Used the rope to pull my self to the surface. But weighed to much with all the clothes to get out.I was able to get to corner of dock and get my foot on a brace and lift up enough to pull myself out. Then striped in parking lot and put on my rain suite.Lesson learned do not take off life jacket in winter untill boat is on the trailer and you are in the parking lot.I only recieve some cut knuckles from grabbing rope and hitting the dock.About gave the wife a heart attack.Could have been worse if not for rope. She is a trained life guard and instincts took over she was coming in after me.
The strange thing is it was at the same exact spot that we helped a family who sunk their boat the last time we were down there. We got them out of the sinking boat and then helped pull the boat out. The difference was there was no one there and the dock was closed.
