New member in Minnesota
Hi everyone - I am new here and thought I would start with an introduction post. I live in MN now but grew up fishing in MO, and some of my first memories of eating fish are from my grandpa bringing home crappies from Little Prairie Lake. I've been hooked ever since.
Today I mainly fish from a kayak. I like the stealth that a kayak offers, plus the fact that it can get me access to lakes (or, access to a particular spot on a lake) where other boat types can't make it because there is either no public access or they would have to transit water that's too shallow or weedy.
I mostly fish the south Twin Cities metro area, mainly for convenience - there are a lot of lakes within a 30 minute drive, but I am slowly and steadily expanding my range.
My 11 year old son is carrying on the fishing tradition as well, in fact he is seriously addicted! We have a public lake across the street from our development, and I am proud to say he fished every day during summer break. I've posted a little larger picture of my Profile pic below - we're kayak fishing a local lake.

Welcome from west Michigan! Glad to see your son is enjoying one of the finer aspects of life. You got a great state to fish too. Brother used to live in White Bear Lake. Fished that a few times as a younger man.
