Yo whats up buddy...so where on the Ocmulgee did ya'll go...up near Lake Jackson dam or further south. I've fished Lake Jackson and the Ocmulgee River watershed for many years and I know how good the fishing can be.

Bet that was fun. River fish fight harder! Pics? Felt like spring yesterday and I guess the crappie thought so too.
they do fight hard.......i enjoyed it when they was biting.....lol.....which was slow......sorry i didnt even think of pics.....i have an older phone that does not take good pics........a side note one of my neighbors hung a BIG mud fish.......finally got him to the top of the water for just a few seconds before he broke the line

I used to run limb lines a long time ago from Barrs Bluff down past Flat Tub. Wish I had been crappie fishing back then. We did put a hurting on those flat heads and hope it helped the current population of crappie and sunfish. We used to catch some really big red breast and shell crackers down there too. Some of God's most peaceful stretch of river in the South.
have a frind thet has a cabin at Half Moon landing . he said that a few with small aluminum boats are doing some fishing and catching some nice crappie .it is low and a lot of rocks
Thanks for your report, glad you had a good day.
