We weighed in three fish. The sad part is, we did better than a lot of good fishermen. I hooked a striper that went about 15 lbs and we had to cut and re-tie five poles after he got through with them. We also would have done better if it had been a catfish tourney. Scott I'll second you on the catfish! They were the only kind of fish I landed all day. As for breaking lines; I broke two lines off early. It took me 1 1/2 hours to thaw my fingers out enough to retie them. Not a good showing from any if the MS crappie.com regulars.
Hopefully we all will do better next month at Chotard.

I didnt fish in the tournament but I did fish the rez saturday morning till 11 am. Managed 13 keepers and about 20 throwbacks... It was a really good day. Caught all on single pole with bobby garland jigs.... Had a few toads and lost two real good fish.... Sounds like I should have entered the tournament... Lol

its off the schedule for quite awile as of Saturday.
Not sure where coachnomo gets his info but Barnett will never by off the MCC schedule. I agree the lake seems to be in a down cycle right now. Although I caught good fish the Saturday before the tournament and the Friday before. Also it seems the black crappie are doing very well in the Rez. I have caught more black crappie in the last three trips than I ever have. While the Rez can't compare to the COE lakes up North it is still a good crappie fishery.
