Check your PM's Fireman.
Kept 27. Threw back too many to count. Wind was tough but there were a few places out of the worst of it. Caught better fish around .5 mph with jigs tipped with a minnow. Black/green/red. Holding 15' in 20-30'. Should only get better. Water was 51-53 slightly stained.

Hey shine runner what type boat were you in , and were was you fishing at mostly i probably seen ya . We also done the same as you did we kept 28 and threw back some well 29 counting 1 channel cat. papasage i wish you could have been there man it was a little ruff but we really enjoyed it today .
White Triton TS18 with white Etec. Fished the river above 280 trying to get out of the wind. Found a few pockets that were workable. Holler if you see me. Plan on going every chance I get till next summer!
glad to hear specks being caught on blackshear.... i was out of state for a week .......got home and caught a bug......been down for almost a week now but i am feeling some better and wanting to do some fishing
I went yesterday as well, but did not do as well as you Shine nor fireman1501. As a mater of fact we landed only one hybird. I tried by the RR tressel and just north of it but caught the devil trying to keep the boat half way still. I see you were long linning Shine, how about you fireman1501? I was dropping minnows to the bottom. Great report guys, wish I could have done as good as you two. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Timbo66 we were actually pushing. We used the wind to keep us down to .5ish but did move faster and slower at times. Several boats around us did longline and they did catch fish too. Some times Blackshear can be really unpredictable. Good one day and locked down the next. Good luck on your next trip.
Thanks Shine Runner, I will give it a try next time.
Does anyone know if there is a fish cleaning station in Veterans state park at Lake Blackshear?
There use to bve one at the camp grounds boat ramp but its gone now. Reckon they don't care.
Heard the new mega ramp is open. I will look next time I am down there to see if they added one there.
We went yesterday and the same story as above held true. Kept 30 nice fish, but caught no telling how many small ones to get those 30. We were tightlining in 30-32 fow in the Cedar Creek and Collins Branch area. Great day to be on the water.
Thanks for the report just fish.
Went this Morning fished 9am till 2 kept 19 nice ones. Fished 280 bridge. Everyone I talked to said they limited out yesterday. Man it feels good to be catching fish again. I love being retired now I can fish on my terms!
Good reports. Hope to find a few this weekend myself. Ya'll post some pics!
Dan this is the only picture we took. We were picking at our friend at work, so we sent him this. Attachment 75849
That will work! Always fun to pick on those at work except when I am the one at work!!
I second that sine runner.
Well yesterday (SAT) was just to hard to stay on the water. Again, caught some small fish but nothing to brag about.
