That didn't take long.
Tired of Munta whippin' ya to the feeshing hole? Stroke him. Don't think that's a Mariner Super Mag from the pics, so you're looking at a 20" case and you'll be forced to drive slow at 88 mph to the stick ups. With the right motor, thats a smooth 100 mph boat right there. Catch is, the right motor is gonna set you back in the mid teens and you'll be running a 800 to a 1000 prop with premium fuel.....but it could be done.

Thats too fast to pull crankbaits you gewberRofl
Maybe go fast ain't your thing. In that case, here ya go. Hands down, the best riding rough water boat evah made. And you can laugh at all them ignernt Ranger owners bragging about how their boat rides the waves iffen they had any money left to buy fuel.

Bout as purty as they come right here. Stratos does not allow folks that don't have movie star hair to own these boats though, so most of ya'll is out.

Heart breaker of the 200 ProXL is the second console is not removable and the rod boxes extend past the pedestal base making dual pedestal install almost impossible or at least not practicle.
But I would look good in it and that counts for a lot.

Here ya go. Ranger...always a crowd pleaser.

Here's an interesting hull. 929CDX.
Used 2004 Nitro 929 Cdx Sc, Broussard LA - 100572457 - BoatTrader.com
I say interesting because it has the right layout - boxes stop before the pedestal base, has a step up cooler and it's a beam forward design so plenty of room on the front deck. Personally, I view the 929 as a mid level boat as far as build quality and it's not speed demon powered right (this 'un ain't BTW). The 929 was Nitro's flag ship prior to the intro of the Z boats. It has a good ride too, but the buzz kill is I can't seem to find a bargain on one....for some reason, everyone who owns one seems to think it's a premium ride (ie Ranger) and want a premium price. It's actually easier to find deals on Rangers than on Nitros believe it or not.

And speaking of insane, why would anybody want to, must have a set the size of Minner's head fast.
The Allison 2003 Pro Sport.

I'm not an Allison conniseur per se, but you gotta admire their dedication to speed. Hands down, the fastest boat on the water that is a fishing boat. I've only fished out of one and was taken aback by it's oddities in the storage boxes and layout. Not a beamy boat, but fished surprisingly well considering it's a fast boat first, a fishing boat second.
This one has a screamer motor too. Capable to turning north of 7,000 rpms depending on whats been done to it. 2.5 will probably turn a 28" prop and maybe a 30". Ya don't find those at the local Wal-Mart on the marine isle. I'd almost like to own one and invite all my C.C buddies out for a "quick run" and then post pics of the aftermath.
Big down side for me is it'd prolly muss my hair something awful.

About the best gold standard for a boat line there is. Behold the 201. The only way they could out do it was with the 201 Evolution, but the 201 XL is so good they couldn't discontinue it.
And maybe it's me, but I get "excited" when I see a yeller boat. Aye Carumba that's a good looking boat.

Question: How much can you spend on a Bass Boat if money was not object?
Ya gotcher 70K boats: New 2012 Triton 21 Hp M.S.R.P., Franklin TN - 100404919 - BoatTrader.com

And them don't even include good trolling motors, decent electronics nor power poles, rod holders, rod carriers and I'll bet hey wouldn't even throw in a decent jig pole.
Wannabe...
So...from scratch...ya get you a nice 3/4 ton tow truck - $50K, add a nice top of the line Bass Boat, $70K (I'm assuming they'd negotiate a little on me here), Add in decent electronics, stereo, rod holders, rod carrier, a pair of power poles 2 additional bases an extra seat and pedestal at about $10K, then two dozen rods, tackle boxes, 200 bandits, everthang and color that Bobby Garland makes, 20 dozen of Donnies Jigs a couple of service spools of line and maybe some power pro to experiment with, a nice ego net, and a decent cooler for your catch at say....$5K and you're looking at $135K and you're almost ready to go fishing.....what? You forgot about the 80 gallons of fuel and 3 gallons of oil for the first fill up didn't ya. So $135,350 and you're all set.
I'm assuming you've already got life jackets. So that might cost some of ya a little extra.

I'd stick with the Ranger--although I'm with Wannabe--I wouldn't mind having the Allison for a bit--I wouldn't mind a extra 20mph
No wonder I can't catch any fish. I don't have nearly enough money invested. Doh
I think you hit the nail on the head KY.... Definition of a boat: a hole in the water you keep pouring money into...
find me a big tiller like a 2075 cheep
WB, you left out Donnies gnats on yer list of must haves.

Awesome boats. Really like those Stratos. Find me a bay/flats boat that I can spiderrig out of. Ranger or Skeeter have some that some guides around here have been using. Seem to work out. I fish the Gulf flats several times a year. Gotta have something I can fish 5 people (2 adults & 3 kids).

Well dang it you got me looking at boats! Whatcha think about this Nitro? Had even thought about one till I saw this one. Whats the draw backs other than I probably don't need to go to the salt with it much at all.
Used 2007 Nitro 591dc, Oakwood GA - 100734515 - BoatTrader.com
I looked at Nitros pretty hard recently, nice boats and the 2nd console comes out real easy.
Don't think the second console was made removable until the Z boats came out Shine. Other than that, the 591 is fine boat with one fatal flaw....it's lacks the 3 additional feet it needs. Trust me, if you're going to go glass boat for it's benefit, the difference between 18 and 21 feet is negligible on cost to own and operate, but considerable on how it fishes.

the center 1 has about 400 hr. --- the first year it had 137 with 100 at a idle back trolling???????????
That's not out of the ordinary for they way they use those boats up Norf. Only thing I'd want to know is which kind of oil has been run through it and wheather or not a fuel treatment like Ring Free or Quick Klean has been run through it.

Alright...what about this one? Not searched long enough to find one used for sale, but is a good option for dual console and still able to store long rods and plenty of other storage and seating for 4.......Anyone been in one or seen one up close?
Nitro*Z-9 CDC (2011-)*2011* Reviews,performance,compare,price,warranty, specs,Reports,Specifications Layout, video | BoatTEST.com
Whelp, the Z9 is ahhhhhsummmm! Pretty quick with 250 power at mid 70s, had a padded front deck and a beam to die for. Hitches - have some cheap tendencies on their build - drop in plastic boxes (which I like, but is generally frowned upon) - I like them because they are easily removed for rigging and cheater storage. Also should be relatively cheap to replace - which you are bound to have to at some point during ownership. Guardian Livewells are fantastic - but on the small side at 20 gallons each, but more than adequate for when it's important. Noted the description on the CDC claims a 21 gallon front livewell. That would be sweet, but I'm not sure it's correct....have never seen it noted before, although I've never walked up on a CDC model to see for myself. I've sat in a Z5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Even the 5 has an incredible beam.
Now the bad part....on the CDC...the question is....why? It's gonna be a wanker to get around in pitching seas. I rode in a 929CDC in moderate weather and thought it was pretty cool. Even though there was adequate room to go around the console without swiveling your hips, your mind still told you to do it to keep from bumping the console or catching it making the maneuver akward. Except for the front livewell, if that is really there, there's no reason to go for the CDC. You really gain nothing by going with it as a Crappie fisherman and it make the boat special or one off for resale, decreasing the market.
The second console is an option and easily removed on all X boats...although it's something like a $1,200 option (ouch).
Wannabe...
One other thought on the CDC, there's no option for foot placement to get to the back deck other than right into the extra seats. Bummer on a 45K boat. The SC/DC models have spacers to allow for a foot step. Oh and you can get a 1 year old SC/DC for right at 30K. For 35K you can get top knotch electronics and all the options included. No reason to buy a new one at all.
Wannabe...
Good points to think about. The description says the extra side seats slide to access the foot steps on each side. Not sure what they mean "slide". The front livewell appears to be directly in front of the console. Maybe a problem on resale since they are not popular, yet. I am kinda liking it the more I look at it. Except the price. Still figuring out how to fit it in with the newborn and all that. Maybe just window shopping and drooling for a while. Guess me & the boy will both need a bib !
