So far, the count is 1 doe, 1 bald eagle and 2 gobblers. No horns yet :(
Stick with it.
Seen a buck yet?!?
No bucks for me yet. My son just texted me and he let a small doe walk. Then he had a 7 pointer playing around in front of him for about 15 minutes but passed on it. Waiting for a bigger one
Sounds like an interesting morning so far. I wimped out on hunting this morning. @ 29 with some wind here earlier.

Add a big fat fox squirrel to my list of visitors this morning. Still no antlers!
Three more slick heads just ran by. I was hoping a buck would be chasing them but no such luck :(
Let my 11 yearold grandson shoot a doe this morning.I hit one with my truck this morning and got it.Gave it to a game warden to give to some needy family.Didn't hurt the truck at all.
Well, about noon, another doe came busting by me with 3 bucks chasing her. They kept circling my stand when I heard my son shoot about a quarter of a mile south of me. The deer stayed all around me. He texted and said he had a big 8 pointer down. I thought "OK, enough fooling around with these guys." One of my 3 bucks stopped in a clearing about 70 yards out so I dropped the hammer on him also. It was pretty cool, my son and I tagged out within a minute of each other. Now, it fishing time. Leaving for Truman shortly. Can't wait to spend some time with great friends on a great lake.
