I went last year for the 1st time, and it was a decent show. All boats on the main floor, and the mezzanize had displays by local retailers, baits, rods, misc stuff, could be a bit crowded at times, but not bad. I will probably go again since it's during the cold weather and its a decent way to spend a portion of the day. Better than doing work around the house. I think you can buy a 2 day ticket for the same price as one day admission, but I see no reason to go both days.
It has went down hill the last few years. I didnt even go last year. Never any real good deals. But its something to do if the weather is bad and your bored.
I heard the admission price was a little steep. Any truth to that?
I think it was $10 or less, I have to drive an hour to get there. I could be at BPS in 1.5 hrs
They use to be a bunch from missouri that brought loads of crappie stuff I got stuff every time they were there but that was about it for us. not sure if they will be there r not.
I hear yea DUMPLIN'....you would just fonder and moan and groan with a belly ache....
Thumbs Upjust bring a big kettle full of them an let me worry abt the belly acheThumbs Up
You just work on gettin' the show info. And we will see about the dumplins'...lol..
harley2004 is correct. The guys with the big Crappie booth have not been in a few years. It has gone down hill for several years. I remember when Nutter Reel Repair had a booth and you could get good deals on refurbished reels. I still go and spend a couple of hours and I still get some good deals. As I remember the admission was $ 5.00 but for what they have in the way of fishing stuff, it might still be a little too expensive. If you want a boat, custom bass rods, join a club, or to sign up for a Canada trip, this might be the place for you.
The team that won the Crappie Masters Angler of the Year this year, Bill Braswell and Dan Dannenmueller, is going to be down there doing seminars. My custom hand tied jigs helped them win the title and we are trying to get together to do the show if possible. That's why I was trying to get as much info. as possible to see if it is worth the January drive..THANKS for all your help guys...I greatly appreciate it....Good Fishin'....GF
When and where is this show? Does anyone have any contact names for the show?
Thank you Charger. We've got some boats to display.
