New MCC rule for upcoming year

The board passed a new rule for the upcoming season. We are allowing a third person in the boat as long as they are under 16 years of age. The pole limit remains the same. There is no membership fee for children under 16 years old. MCC wants to encourage children to get into our sport.

How many rods can you use at Chotard?

Unless I am mistaken it is 6 at Chotard whether it's one in the boat or three. Doesnt Chotard have no pole limit??

That's great! My partner (blue thunder) has gotten to where he can't hardly get in a boat anymore without his four-year-old daughter. She also happens to be my grand-daughter and is a lucky charm. I'm trying to talk him into Chotard....it's fairly close.

Best thing MCC has ever done is pass the new "kid rule". Crappie fishing is a family oriented sport, getting the kids involved is a big opportunity that all us need to make happen. I have the crappie passion thanks to my grandmother who took me fishing everyday as a kid. I hope we see more kids fishing our tournaments in the near future.

I plan on bringing my little girl with me some 4sure...
